I've been dreaming of a 13 inch wide laptop for awhile now. The MacBook seemed like my dream come true. I went out to the apple store to test it out and see if I could handle the glossy monitor. I was pretty close to making a purchase until I felt the bottom. No way in hell.

This "laptop" is only suitable for people who are done having children. Scolding hot. Think I'm exaggerating? Here's a YouTube video someone shot taking the temperature of the bottom of the laptop. 119.8 degrees Fahrenheit.

Is that hot enough to cook eggs on?

On Apple
I hear the new black macbook looks cheap in real life. I'm going to try to swing by the apple store sometime this weekend and judge for myself. At first, I was blown away by them, but at a $150 premium for it, I'm not too sure I want black anyway. Besides, the black ipods scratch to all hell and back. I like my clean looking iBook.

On Life
Kathryn put up some pictures on flickr of her new place and new car. She just bought a toyota yaris. We test drove one outside of DC a couple weeks ago. It's a pretty impressive car. 40 mpg with a MSRP of $12k, can't beat that.
